A free plugin that listens to your track and finds its key and home note, the Detune in Hz and the tempo, ready to dial into Auto-Tune.

Mac

Installer VST3 + AU · 16 MB
  1. Open HomeNote-Mac-Installer.pkg.
  2. Click Continue and Install, and enter your Mac password. VST3 and AU both go straight into your plugin folders.
  3. Rescan plugins in your DAW. In FL Studio: Options → Manage plugins → Find installed plugins.
Install by hand instead

Download VST3 zip or AU zip, unzip it, then drag HomeNote.vst3 into ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 or HomeNote.component into ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. Then run this in Terminal so macOS lets it load:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/HomeNote.vst3 ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/HomeNote.component

Windows

Windows 10 or 11 · 64-bit

VST3 FL Studio, Ableton, Cubase, Reaper · 4 MB
  1. Right-click the download and choose Extract All.
  2. Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 in File Explorer.
  3. Drag the HomeNote.vst3 folder into it and click Continue when Windows asks for permission.
  4. Rescan plugins in your DAW. In FL Studio: Options → Manage plugins → Find installed plugins.

To remove it later, delete the HomeNote.vst3 folder. A one-click Windows installer is coming soon.

Installs only the plugin

Mac: HomeNote.vst3 and HomeNote.component in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins. Windows: the HomeNote.vst3 folder in Common Files\VST3. Nothing runs in the background or at startup.

Never goes online

No account, no update checks, no analytics. HomeNote only analyses the audio playing on its track, on your computer.

Easy to remove

Mac: delete the two files above. Windows: delete the HomeNote.vst3 folder.
